Drew watched her hurry away and when he came back down the smell of tacos filled his senses making him smile. Drew smirked at his wife. “Well I just wanted you to notice I was here is all.” Drew felt her move to him and he held Bianca back tight kissing the top of her head as he rubbed her back. “Yup she’s all tucked into her crib safe and sound.” Drew reassured his wife as he rubbed her back and then he sighed reaching up he cupped her chin and tilted her head up as he leaned down and kissed her lips with a soft passion but the kiss full of love that he had for her. “If we were fighting would I kiss you like this?” Drew whispered over to her and smiled as he kissed her nose gently. “We will fix this nothings really broken I love you still baby, and I think were going to burn those tacos in a minute here.” Drew let her go so she could finish cooking but instead of leaving he walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. “I’m not sure what smells better, you or these tacos.” Drew told her as he held his wife as she cooked.
Bianca gave him a smile, knowing she was always a little jumpy when he surprised her with his presence, so she understood. The way he held her back reassured her that he loved her despite all that was going on. It felt beyond good to have him squeeze her tight and kiss her head and rub her back. A smile grew on her face when he told her how their baby was, still having that motherly instinct to make sure the little girl was perfectly okay. Bianca heard his sigh and frowned, letting him lift her chin, but struggling to look him in the eye, thinking maybe she upset him once more. It surprised her when his lips met hers, closing her eyes and letting his kiss nearly take her breath away. She felt like she had no breath left when he whispered to her, opening her eyes to look into his, “No, you definitely wouldn’t.” Her nose scrunched up instinctively when he kissed it, “I love you, too. Oh, right. The tacos.” She reluctantly pulled away before going back to the meat that was cooking. He came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her, making her eyes roll playfully, “I don’t know if that’s a compliment. If you’re going to hold me like this, you’ve got to move with me so I can make the tacos.” She giggled softly as she turned the stove off and got two plates, putting taco shells on each plate and filling them with what she like and what he liked, the whole time Drew was attached to her and she felt a bit calmer than before.
As they walked home he knew things were changed, he didn’t really like it though. Because it felt as if he was a million miles away from his wife even if she was right there. Drew made it into their house and walked to the stairs hearing her he nodded. “Yeah babe if you want to make lunch that’d be great.” He told her softly before he finished the walk up to the nursery. Gently laying his daughter down into the crib as he covered her with a blanket he sighed looking at the innocent little girl. “Daddy promises to keep you as innocent as possible. You shouldn’t have to deal with what mommy and daddy have. Were still just kids.” Drew spoke softly, Bianca may be able to be open with him but he just didn’t know the words to say to her. “Daddy’s going to always be a superman for you girls though, so sleep well baby girl.” Drew kissed his daughters forehead before he turned on her mobile and left the bedroom walking downstairs he walked to the kitchen and leaned against the wall watching her. “am I able to get a hug from my wife?” Drew asked her softly as his eyes turned downcast, he just wanted to hold her and have her know that despite the situation they were in he loved her beyond all imagination.
Bianca looked to her husband as he started up the stairs, giving him a gentle smile when he agreed to some lunch, “Okay, good. I’ll go see what we’ve got.” She hurried away into the kitchen and busied herself as best she could, looking through their things and wondering what Drew might like right now. Bianca was pulling out some things to make his favorite, tacos, in hopes that maybe she’d make him smile. Suddenly, she heard Drew behind her and turned to him, a confused look crossing her face, “You never have to ask, Drew. You can always get a hug, no words needed.” It worried her that he even had to ask for a hug, her feet moving quickly as she walked to him and wrapped her arms around his waist, pulling herself tight against him. Bianca rested her head on his chest, snug under his chin and closed her eyes, breathing him in, “Is uh.. Aurora safe and asleep upstairs?” She wondered, just wanting to make sure their little girl was alright. After a moment, she spoke once more, “I’m not really sure what to say, how to fix this. But I don’t want to fight.” Her biggest fear was probably fighting with him, she couldn’t handle it these days.
Drew laughed softly when Bianca hid against his neck he knew it could only mean one thing that he managed to get her to blush, which he always found her cute then. Drew looked down at aurora and made a face at the girl getting his daughter to smile. Letting the whole parenting thing go he heard her words he shrugged. “I wouldn’t mind holding my daughter.” Drew admitted, he wanted to give Bianca a break as he waited before she handed the little girl over to him she began to fuss slightly but Drew quickly calmed the little girl down to the point where he started to hum. Watching his daughter fall asleep against his chest he laughed softly. “Maybe we should get her home for her nap and then have time for just us.” Drew told his wife kissing her lips softly.
Bianca liked to watch the way Drew was towards their daughter, how he tried to make the little girl smile any way he could. She heard he wanted to hold Aurora and nodded her head, gently handing the girl over and giving him a little smile as she did. Her hands went to her lap as she looked over at Drew and Aurora, simply observing him as he calmed their daughter. Whether he knew it or not, he was really good with Aurora and it showed. Bianca’s eyes wandered as he hummed, picking at her fingernails absentmindedly. When she heard him laugh, she looked back over at him and nodded her head, “Alright, sure, babe.” She let him kiss her before getting up with him and walking slowly next to him. Things felt different between them and it scared her, she just wanted everything back to normal, she wished she had never told him how she felt. The walk home was silent and they entered their home quietly before Bianca spoke in a whisper, “Would you like something to eat? I can cook anything.” She questioned him as he walked to the stairs to bring Aurora to her crib.
Drew looked at the blue eyed baby as she started to babble softly. Drew smiled proudly down at the little girl when he felt his wives head on his shoulder, turning his head gently he kissed the top of hers. “You look nice to me no matter what, clothes, no clothes, naked.” Drew teased her with a smirk. Drew nodded letting the silence fall over them until he watched the little girl squirm in her mothers’ arms. “Well can you blame her? She’s got two amazing parents.” Drew told her as he reached over and rubbed his daughters back, letting the girl calm down. “If you ever want me to take her just let me know.” Drew told his wife.
Bianca’s face slowly turned red as she hid her face in his neck, wishing she saw herself the way he did, but always happy when he complimented her in any way. She gave a little shrug as their daughter settled against her, grabbing her shirt as her eyes looked over at Drew then up at Bianca, “Yeah, maybe.” She knew she wasn’t an amazing parent or anywhere near being a good parent, so she wasn’t going to agree with him. Shaking her head at his words, she looked out around them, “No, that’s okay. I’ve got her. Unless you wanna hold her, doesn’t matter to me.” Bianca had grown accustomed to holding the little girl, it was just second nature to her now. The little girl seemed to be watching both her parents, but Bianca didn’t notice as she watched around them.
Drew liked seeing her smile even if it was just a tiny one it was something and that was all that mattered to Drew. “I think we made the best looking kid in the world.” Drew told her with his grin growing, he really did love their daughter, yes she was an unexpected surprise but at the same time Drew was glad they had her. As they came to a bench he looked over at his wife and wrapped an arm around her. “Your pretty on the outside today.” Drew quipped and kissed his wives head as she laid against him, her weight comforting in the best ways possible. Drew fell silent for a little while before he looked at Bianca. “Just think soon enough we will be able to bring her here and she will be able to run around on her own. Once she gets to that age we can also plan on running away again.” Drew told her he knew it might take a year or two to get a normal life back but Drew would get it back. Picking up her hand he looked at the diamond in the light as he twisted the ring around gently. “This ring still on your finger means that I love you always baby.” Drew wanted her to know that despite their fight, he didn’t want to be anywhere else but beside her side holding her and being married to her, marrying her was one of the best things that he ever did.
Bianca nodded her head in agreement, their daughter truly was beautiful and she could simply stare at the small child and watch her beautiful wandering eyes. His arm came around her and she rested her head on his shoulder, rolling her eyes playfully with a smirk, “Good one, Torres. I didn’t even try to look nice today.” She sighed softly as he kissed her head, letting silence fall around them as she held Aurora upright in her lap. Her eyes were open only half way when Drew broke the silence, her eyes looking down to the ground while she nodded, “Yeah, I know. You’re right.” Bianca let him take her hand, watching his hand hold hers, playing with her ring, “And I love you, Drew.” She felt Aurora squirming on her lap and she reluctantly pulled her hand away, picking the little girl up and bringing her to hold her against her chest, “We know already that’s she’s needy just like me.” She gave him half a smirk, trying to joke around as she held their baby to her.
Drew smiled as he looked at his wife, hoping they could make it all work out together as a family. “I know we do and we will work it out again.” Drew told her softly and then smirked at her when she said she liked his idea. Drew laughed at her words. “She’s always cute like you.” Drew said calling out as she walked away, Drew walked into the laundry room grabbing a wife beater and a pair of shorts as he dressed and changed. Walking out he saw his girls coming downstairs. “Yes my girls look beautiful.” Drew grinned at his daughter as he took her tiny hand and made a funny face getting the baby to smile and laugh up at him. “Lets go for a walk.” Drew let her hold their daughter since she seemed content with the baby as they walked down to the beach, he watched her as they walked into the small park. “Let sit.” Drew sat down on a park bench and watched her sit next to him as they looked around.
When she came downstairs with Aurora, Bianca gave her husband the best smile she could, blushing slightly as she nuzzled her nose against their daughters cheek, “She’s more beautiful, though. We made a really good looking kid.” She giggled softly, trying to be positive for herself and for Drew. Her head nodded at his suggestion of a walk, staying by his side as they left the house. Aurora rested against Bianca as they strolled along, happy with the way the little girl seemed so calm with the both of them. When they got to the park, they found a bench to sit and she looked down at the peaceful little girl, moving her to sit in her lap so she could take in everything around them. She leaned against her husband, resting her head on his shoulder as she kept her daughter protected on her lap, “It’s pretty outside today.” She whispered softly, not knowing what else to say to him after the fight they’d had, her insides still shaken from it all.
Drew saw her looking at their daughter, and he just wanted them to work through everything and be happy all together. “I don’t want you to give up either I know shits hard but we will make it work.” Drew reassured her as he saw her shut down often like before so he let it go as she asked about what they were doing. “Why don’t we take our little girl with us to the park? We can still be together get her out of the house.” Drew told her and then shook his head. “Nah I am good baby thank you though.” drew kissed her lips softly. “Why don’t you and aurora go get ready and we can go out just relax and find some park bench to cuddle on.” Drew offered as an option he didn’t really want to stay home lately because the house didn’t really seem like a home.
Bianca rubbed her daughter’s back soothingly, wishing she could always feel like this, like she truly loved her daughter and wanted to hold her forever, “I know, we always make it through.” Her lips pressed to the side of Aurora’s head, feeling a bit tired, but not in a way that she could simply sleep off. Flickering her eyes to meet his, she gave him a gentle smile, “Yeah, the park sounds like a good plan to me.” When he said no to her making him some food, she nodded her head and kissed him back when his lips moved in to press to hers. Bianca nodded her head, “Okay. I’ll be sure to put her in something really cute.” She held their baby securely to her as she brought her upstairs with her. Changing their baby first, she put her into a cute little dress with a little bow in her hair. The little girl smiled up at her and she gave her a sweet smile back. Picking her up, she walked into her and Drew’s bedroom, laying Aurora gently on the bed and keeping an eye on her as she changed into a t-shirt and shorts. When the two girl’s were all ready, they went back downstairs and found Drew, giving him a gentle smile, “Do we look cute?” She looked to Aurora, really talking about their little girl and her perfect outfit.
Drew nodded at her words and looked away from his wife he wish that he did make her happy though because he was her husband and what was all in a marriage or so he thought. Drew sighed as he looked at her hands. “Yeah I am.” he told her and then he felt her kissing his cheek. Drew watched her get up and kiss him again. “I’ll be in an minute.” Drew got up and he stood up as he walked around the yard, her mother came out as she asked him what was wrong. “Nothing, just trying how to make a family happy.” He replied as she gave him a hug and he hugged the woman back before looking into the house at his wife holding their daughter. “It might start with you being inside.” Drew nodded and walked back to the house as he walked inside and smirked. “Damn my girls look beautiful.” Drew complimented and he walked over to his wife he looked into her eyes. “I know we don’t have the answers on being happy, but I promise I am not giving up on you, or our daughter or our family. All of this happened for a reason I believe that. I think we just need to do what will make us all happy, whether we know the answer or not. And don’t ever doubt that I want to be married to you, because I still feel the same way I did about you as the day I put that ring on your finger.” Drew kissed his wives forehead and then looked down at their baby girl playing with her small hand smiling softly.
Bianca sighed, but went inside alone without him. She simply held her daughter, stroking the little girl’s hair as she walked around aimlessly. Looking down at her daughter, she gave her a little kiss to the lips, seeing the action make Aurora smile. When she heard Drew, she looked up at him, but quickly looked back down at their little girl. Her head nodded as he spoke, glancing at his eyes before looking away, “Okay. We’ll make it work. Thanks for not giving up.” Bianca’s desire to talk about this was now non-existent, so she said as little as possible. Watching him play with Aurora’s hand after he kissed her forehead, she liked the smile that was on his face, “So what are we doing today?” She asked to change the subject, finally looking to him, “Are you hungry? I can make you something to eat.” She offered to him, just trying to find something to do. Bianca wasn’t sure if he wanted to keep talking about it or not, but she’d certainly had enough and was already exhausted all over again from the whole thing.
